What is it about a girl named Skyler? Previously, I remember her on THE GATES as Andie Bates. Her character had problems keeping a boyfriend  alive there too. It seems even on that show she could kill a guy with a kiss. Just as her Chloe on The Nine Lives of Chloe King can kill a guy with a kiss too. Just don't tempt her. This is one role that Skyler makes real. Coping with temptation.

Before Skyler went Supernatural, she was on plenty of Disney & Nick stuff. She was also in the 2009 version of THE STEPFATHER.

Now she gets to be on a show with Benjamin Stone and Grey Damon. She is certainly focused as an actress. She's also jumped in to be fit for the part as well as Chloe King who isn't quite human. The show has surprised plenty of viewers. On one level the show it rather supernatural, yet it has a way of showing true friendship as well...along with all those other problems that come up in adolescents.

In her early days Rihanna won numerous beauty pageants and performed Mariah Carey "Hero" in a school talent show. Her life changed forever when one of her friends introduced her to Evan Rodgers, a producer from New York who was in Barbados for a vacation with his wife, who is a native. Rodgers arranged for her to go to New York to meet Jay-Z, CEO of Def Jam Records. He heard her sing and knew she was going to be incredibly successful. She was 16 when she was signed to Def Jam. Since then, she's amassed phenomenal success.

And now 5' 8" (1.73 m) tall Robyn Rihanna Fenty has become super star.

Fiction Tuesday - I just want my pants back

I JUST WANT MY PANTS BACK came out in 2007. Its the debut novel of former MTV creative director, David Rosen.

This is the story about Jason Strider who graduates with an English degree, who moves to New York City, hoping for bigger and better things. Its rather a slacker's story. He ends up in a small apartment in the West Village and finds work in a casting agency. His nights are usually about him getting stoned and going out.

He has a quirky bunch of friends. And even quirkier encounters. Especially with Jane. Finally, a real girl in his life which leads to some hot and heavy stuff in his little kitchen. In the end she takes his dickies. Much of the book is trying to get his pants back, but he does a few other things with friends and such.

Some might find it a gem of a book while others will be put off by his way of dealing with what he wants to do with his life.

MTV hopes to bring this book to a new show. Peter Vack will be Jason Stride. And I must admit I've wanted to see Vack get a main character role instead of just guest roles on crime shows. He's truly a unique actor. I'm hoping the show brings him good things. He definitely deserves it.

STORYLINE: Struggling with sex, love, career and friendship as a young twenty-something living in Brooklyn, Jason is the ultimate slacker who puts hanging with his friends, going to bars and hooking up above his entry level job where he's the lowest rung at a casting agency. It's not until a one night stand steals his heart and his pants, that he begins a quest to get his beloved jeans back, and hopefully the girl, while also growing up along the way.

The TV show is slated for 2012.
