The art of Getting by

We always need at least one New York story in the summer. With all these popcorn movies shooting out week after week for crowds, its nice to have a teen romance film, for a change. Although, this  movie was slated back in February. Hopefully, its in wide release, this go around.

On the upside there is the wonderful Emma Roberts and a very grown up Freddie Highmore to adore. On the downside, its been said this movie is a rip-off of the book Paper Towns by John Green. The Art of Getting by was written by Gavin Wiesen who also directed the movie, too. This is basically is first major film, but he did assist Gwenthyn Paltrow's Dad in DUETS.

I love Freddie Highmore in about anything I've seen him in. Now he comes off as a cross between Michael Cera and Nicholas Hoult. This looks like an intriguing role to see him in. The movie also has Rita Wilson, Blair Underwood and Michael Angarano.

This just might be the sleeper of the summer.

STORYLINE: George, a lonely and fatalistic teen who's made it all the way to his senior year without ever having done a real day of work, is befriended by Sally, a popular but complicated girl who recognizes in him a kindred spirit.
